Smokey Eye Makeup

Smokey eye makeup is the most beautiful eye makeup. Beside that, smokey eye makeup is not difficult to apply and it only takes a few minutes.

First of all, you have to keep in mind that powdery eye shadows are better than creamy eye shadows, because you can blend them better.

Even if the colors that represent the traditional smokey eye makeup are grey and black, you can use one of many others, like purple, dark blue, dark green, copper, dark pink, chocolate, coffee and violet.Though, any color you choose has to fit your eye, skin or hair color. Anyway, for a smokey eye makeup, you will use a dark color and a light color eye shadow. For instance, if you have glue eyes, you should use eye shadow colors like violet, purple, dark blue with grey or black. For those with hazel or green eyes, combine a grey or black with a brown, dark green, dark khaki or purple eye shadow. If your eyes color is brown, in addition to grey or black, use a copper, brown or coffee, for a nice look. If you like single eye shadows, choose a light color that fits your feature eye shadow color. For example, you can use champagne, nude, taupe, light peach or a sand color.

The next step after choosing the eye shadow is to decide which kind of eyeliner is better for you. You should know that powder eyeliner pencils are better for their easy blending. Liquid eyeliners are used especially for sharp lines.

Now it is time for foundation. Usually, for normal makeup, you apply the foundation first. When applying smokey eye makeup, the first thing you have to do is to apply the eye makeup. For a smooth eye shadow, apply a thin layer of foundation to your eyelids and a thin layer of powder to set it. It also helps to prevent the creasing and will make your eye shadow look good.

Now line your top and bottom rims of your eyes, using a dark eyeliner pencil that fits your feature eye shadow color and make sure you do not leave bare spaces behind. The line from the corner of your eye should be a little heavier than the rest. If you want your eyes to look smaller, use dark colors. Remember, for an easier process, you should use a powder eyeliner pencil with a tip specially created for smudging.

Next, apply eye shadows. Apply the dark feature eye shadow onto the eyeliner and blend upwards to the crease of your lid. For a flawless look, always blend, so the eyeliner matches the eye shadow.

Before applying mascara, curl your eyelashes a little, for a nice result. You should apply 2 or 3 layers of black mascara.

Finally, apply a nice pink nuance of lipstick, and a lip gloss for a delicate finish. Applying a rose blusher and smoothing your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil completes your foundation.

All you have to do now is to enjoy your smokey eye makeup!
